How $5.00 Can Buy You 4 Bags of Granola April 29 2014, 0 Comments

It's difficult to ask for money.

That's how Alexa Bigwarfe recently began a blog post on the website for her book, Sunshine After the Storm, where she asks her readers for $5.00 donations to make her book, a guide for mothers grieving the loss of pregnancy, infants, and children, available free of charge to women who have experienced the unthinkable.

In conjunction with this giving campaign, Alexa is holding a tremendous raffle where everyone who makes a $5.00 donation will be entered to win a range of prizes, which include everything from books, jewelry, and baby items, to granola.

Yes, granola.

When Alexa recently asked if Hippie Chick Granola Co. would be interested in donating products for  the raffle she is holding, I was honored to accept her request and participate.

The loss of one of Alexa's twin baby girls to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) propelled her to become a tireless advocate of infant and newborn health.    In the past year, I have watched Alexa work with the medical community, the political community, and publish her book, a much needed resource for grieving mothers, that is meant to "encourage and bring light and hope to mothers who have experienced the worst… the loss of a pregnancy, infant, or child."  Alexa is a wonder.  Before my eyes, she is working to make this world a better place.

I would love to send you four bags of free granola.  Would you consider visiting Alexa's website for more information? Also, on the page, you will find a coupon code for  20% off your next granola order, good now  through May 4th.

With thanks and love,
